Aleksandar Vejnovic (born 1991 in Vinkovci, Croatia) is a media artist, facilitator and lecturer based in Berlin. His work of interest covers an interdisciplinary field of acoustic ecology, sound and media art and intercultural audience development. 

 

Vejnovic studied at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences and at the Department of Audiovisual Arts, Ionian University Corfu, Greece. He holds the degree Masters of Arts.

He was research assistant at the Soundscape & Environmental Media Lab of Darmstadt UAS directed by Prof. Sabine Breitsameter. Their research foci are new media communication, media aesthetics, acoustic ecology, culture of perception, 3D Audio and Fulldome Cinema technology. Their approaches had been presented in numerous concerts, exhibitions, workshops and conferences.

 

After his graduation Vejnovic started to work as a freelancer developing media art concepts for schools and leading artistic research projects.

He is also a lecturer. His courses involves sound art, media philosophy, audience research and audience development. Together with his co-lecturers from the Master´s program International Media Cultural Work, he got awarded for excellent teaching in the year 2019 by the Darmstadt UAS, where he is still active. 

He was invited as a guest lecturer by the Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem (CZ), University of Rijeka (HR), and Fachhochschule Clara Hoffbauer Potsdam. 

In addition, he offers seminars for multipliers e.g. teachers, pedagogues, facilitators in the field of media aesthetic education, media theory & practice, and audience development in art & culture.
